ZETDC coach, Norman Dumbu, said social football plays an important role in their organisation. He said it provides a platform for workers, from different departments, to interact.
It also helps them interact with people from other sectors of the economy and the ordinary folk.
“When people are at work, they have no time to interact and discuss other life issues.
“So, our social football matches help us bring together workers from different departments of our organisation to interact.
“This helps us because we get to have a mutual understanding of each other, outside work parameters, making it easier to work together,” said Dumbu.
ZETDC beat ZOU Staff 1-0 in their last social match last month, their speedy striker Brendon Nkunkununu scoring the only goal of the game.
