Elikem, Oneal, Bolt, Nando, Betty and Natasha from possible eviction and left the sexy Tswana to hang at the gallows.
This week, Motamma made the nominations list for the first time since her Chase journey started and unfortunately proved to not be the strongest of contenders.
Motamma’s fellow countryman, Oneal, was also up for possible eviction this week, following a dramatic swap by Ruby Head of House Bassey on Sunday evening. Earlier in the week, Oneal prophesied that he would be evicted tonight. Looks like the Tswana cutie needs to brush up on his prediction skills because he is still in the running for the US$300 000 prize and remains Botswana’s only hope as the Chase heats up. Motamma’s Chase journey has been nothing but bitter-sweet. After sending temperatures soaring throughout Africa with skin-tight garb and barely there dresses, the entire continent shared in her pain when she lost her beloved grandfather.
Motamma has certainly fought her fight and it is safe to say her fellow housemates and fans will miss her and, of course, that booty.
Meanwhile, yesterday night was indeed a sad day for Betty. The gorgeous Ethiopian who was not only set to win not only a cool US$300 000, but also a sexy Sierra Leonean man, as the icing on the cake.
Unfortunately, all those dreams have come crashing down like a deck of cards. Not only is Betty leaving her fellow housemates behind, but she is also bidding adieu to the man she fell in love with as soon as she walked into the Big Brother House. Starting immediately, Bolt goes back to being single and will have no one to fawn over him like a hen in the Ruby House.
How Bolt will survive without his lady love keeping his bed warm at night remains to be seen. However, judging by the looks of anguish as Betty was evicted; Bolt is in for one lonely road ahead. When Betty’s eviction was announced, Bolt looked shell-shocked. The Sierra Leonean’s mouth flew open as he tried to make sense of what had just happened.
He held on tightly and kissed her passionately for the last time, as Betty was quickly whisked to the eviction doors.
Life goes on for Bolt
Bolt is certainly one strong man.
After his lover Betty was evicted from the Big Brother House on Sunday evening, there was no sulking in a corner for Bolt. The Sierra Leonean heart-throb chose to mourn Betty’s departure by getting comfortable on the couch with Fatima, who was on hand with words of comfort.
“You’ll be fine my friend. I know it’s going to be hard for you because you’ve shared a bed with Betty since the first day. I also went through something similar. I also had breaks in between with regards to the whole someone sleeping in my bed thing in this House”, she said, referring to Elikem’s bed hopping.
Later, Bolt went outside for a cigarette and was joined by Angelo. Bolt couldn’t resist whispering a few bedroom secrets with the South African, who was all ears naturally. When Angelo asked him “How does it feel to get it on in front of Africa”, Bolt smiled sheepishly and played coy, clearly not wanting to give too much away. Bolt has opened up about how difficult he thinks this week will be without Betty by his side. Stay strong Bolt!
How Africa voted
Quite interesting results of this week’s eviction show and it appears the longer a housemate stays in the house the more they become likeable and loved. Since the beginning of Big Brother Africa The Chase three weeks ago we have already seen who among the housemates is a strong contender and who is not judging from the votes. Pokello still remains a strong contender after she garnered eight country votes in the second week followed by Hakeem in the first week with six country votes while Nando proved his worth with five country votes in the third week. But again it all depends on who is put up against who.
This week’s evictions saw seven housemates fighting to stay in the house and obviously proved popular. So far Nigerians have never been put to test for some reason but I don’t think they are strong as they purport to be. In fact, with two houses full of likeable people including Hakeem, Pokello, Dillish, Maria, Nando, Natasha and Bimp you can never be so sure until they are put up for eviction.
I feel sorry for Botswana who were made to choose between their two good housemates Oneal and Motamma.
For the past week, Oneal has been making strides through his strategy of playing smart in the house and to some extent that won him votes. Of course, Oneal hasn’t played the love card but for others it has worked and perhaps this is why Nando from Tanzania got five country votes.
Here is how countries voted:
Angola: Oneal
Botswana: Oneal
Ghana: Elikem
Kenya: Nando
Ethiopia: Betty
Malawi: Natasha
Namibia: Nando
Nigeria: Nando
South Africa: Oneal
Sierra Leone: Bolt
Tanzania: Nando
Uganda: Nando
Zambia: Natasha
Zimbabwe: Natasha
Rest of Africa: Oneal
Total: Nando = 5; Oneal = 4; Natasha =3, Bolt = 1, Elikem = 1, Betty = 1, Motamma = 0. (Total: 15 Votes)
Please Note: Tie-breaker rules were applied to Betty, Bolt and Elikem as they each had one popularity vote. The housemate with the lowest average percentage across all countries is Betty, and therefore she was evicted.
