Mozambique coach upbeat

Coca-Cola Training Camp currently underway at St Albans College in Pretoria, South Africa.
The Mozambique Under-17 squad that faces Zimbabwe on Saturday has been participating at the training camp.
Mozambique came to the COPA Coca-Cola training camp with the bulk of the players that will do duty against the Young Warriors on Saturday.
They travelled with 16 players and four others, who had remained behind in Mozambique, joined the rest of the squad yesterday.
The Young Black Mambas players, who joined their colleagues yesterday, are Fereira (midfielder), Lacky (central defender), Alfredo (central defender) and Geialdo (right midfielder).
Coach Manuel said central defender Flavio and Mussa (right back) will pave way for the four players.
Other key players that Manuel will be banking on include captain Steven, goalkeeper Pedro, left back Shelton and strikers Jonas and Malate.
Before coming to take part in the COPA Coca-Cola training camp, Mozambique travelled to Botswana to participate in a four-nation tournament that had hosts Botswana, Mozambique, Swaziland and Namibia.
They played three games in which they beat Swaziland 3-0, dismissed Namibia 2-1 before losing 2-1 to hosts Botswana.
“After the four-nation tournament in Botswana, my players shifted their focus to the COPA Coca-Cola training camp.
“I have been impressed with the way we have performed and my players learnt a lot from the Chelsea coaches and hope they will apply it in the field of play in Zimbabwe,” Manuel said.
During the tournament here in Pretoria, Mozambique beat Malawi 3-1, edged Kenya 1-0, drew 0-0 with powerhouse Nigeria, lost 2-0 to Tanzania and were beaten 0-2 by Uganda. Manuel said they have depth in the junior teams as back home they have two groups, one that participates in the schools tournaments and other in the Caf and Fifa tournaments.
