MP, Councillor distribute rice to residents

Honourable Albert Mavunga, a Member of Parliament, and Councillor Tavengwa Zidya yesterday distributed rice to Ward 24’s elderly and vulnerable residents in Bulawayo.

The consignment came from President Mnangagwa to assist in feeding vulnerable members of the community countrywide.

“Priority was given to those most in need, demonstrating the commitment of the leadership to support vulnerable members of the community. The event was made possible through the efforts of square chairpersons, who generated lists of deserving beneficiaries to ensure the rice reached those who needed it most.

“This initiative showcases the power of collaboration and community spirit, highlighting the importance of working together to support those in need. The donation serves as a testament to the positive impact of compassionate leadership and community-driven initiatives,” said Clr Zidya.
