MUREHWA West legislator Cde Farai Jere has attributed the various development projects he is spearheading in his constituency as a fulfilment of the developmental vision set out by President Mnangagwa for the country to become an upper-middle income society by 2030.

Cde Jere said this last week in an interview after handing over food hampers, blankets and cash to traditional leaders in the constituency that include village heads, headmen and chiefs.

“What we are doing in the constituency is following the vision set out by President Mnangagwa for the development of the country.

“The President is passionate about improving the livelihoods of the rural populace through infrastructure development and that is what we are following through with the use of Constituency Development Funds we received from Government,” he said.

The projects being carried out in the constituency include the construction of nurses accommodation at Kadzere Clinic, construction of the Office of the Registrar’s sub-office at Musami business centre and construction of an ECD block and science laboratory at Darangwa Primary and Secondary Schools.

Cde Jere also said the hampers he gave to the traditional leaders was a way of thanking them for the work they do in the implementation of Government programmes and projects in their various areas of jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, some of the village heads were grateful for the items they received ahead of the festive season.

“I am grateful for the hamper and other gifts we have received from the MP as we are about to celebrate the Christmas and new year holidays,” said Village Head Muchagoneyi of Muchagoneyi Village.
