Mpofu in top 20 finish at the Olympics

Zimbabwe’s top distance runner Isaac Mpofu put up a spirited performance this morning to finish on position 19 at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Mpofu clocked a time of 2 hours 10 minutes 9 seconds.
It was his Olympic debut.
Ethiopia’s Tamirat Tola won the race  in 2 hours 6 minutes 26 seconds, setting a new Olympic record.
Bashir Abdi of Belgium was second in 2 hours 6 minutes 47seconds and Kenya’s Benson Kipruto came in on third position in 2 hours 7 minutes.
