ZIMBABWE’S representatives at the CAF Under-17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) Mpopoma Sports Academy (Mposa) will face Aguila Stars of Zambia in a Battle of Zambezi to decide who finishes third at Norton’s Ngoni Stadium on Thursday.
The two teams had a decent tournament but were not good enough to match finalists Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Lesotho’s Lishoeshoe who clash in the final later on Thursday.
Fans won’t have to pay for the day’s football festival.
CAF introduced the GIFT U17 tournament to give club teams in this age group the opportunity to compete against their peers across their region, complementing the events already staged for national teams.
CAF women’s football as a key aspect of its development agenda, and this tournament has provided young players with the chance to showcase their skills and gain experience.
