The inaugural Mr and Miss Teen Ambitious Cape Town pageant was successfully held over the weekend where Tinashe Chida was named Mr Ambitious Cape Town while Merrylin Makuni won Teen Miss Ambitious Cape Town. Nobuhle Ngubane was crowned Miss Ambitious Cape Town Queen.
Ngubane also won the public choice award in her category with musician Sotsha Fire who made his debut modelling appearance, winning the public choice award in the male category. He was also crowned Mr Ambitious Cape Town second prince.
Lucas Khathaza took Mr Ambitious Cape Town first prince award with Mihlali Kwayiba being named Miss Ambitious Cape Town first runner up and charity Queen. Teen Miss Ambitious Cape Town second runner up was Alhuma Mafuya while Miss Ambitious Cape Town second princess was Zethu Qetse.
Beulah Musaruwa won Teen Miss Ambitious Cape Town first runner up and the public choice award in her category.
The event, a brainchild of Zimbabweans, Ennetty Delane Chikukwa aka Minister Signet and co-founder Editor Sande who is a model and dancer, was held at Milnerton Golf Club in Cape Town.
Its mission was to unearth new talent on the ramp.
A satisfied Minister Signet said: “We are happy with the turnout of the show as people came in numbers to support their family and friends. We hope the next edition will be spread across Zimbabwe.” – @mthabisi_mthire
