CAN William “Mr Chibuku” Manondo make a difference at Dynamos?
The Glamour Boys leadership appears to believe the veteran forward could lead their attack this season.
Manondo is coming from one of his worst seasons, in the domestic Premiership, in the past dozen years.
He moved to Simba Bhora at the beginning of last season.
However, he endured a nightmare in Shamva as injuries ruined his move and he failed to make an impact at the then champions.
He was later sent on loan at Yadah but he struggled for goals and could not save the Miracle Boys from relegation.
Manondo is a household name in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League and renowned for his consistent scoring record spanning more than a decade.
His longest and most notable tenure was an eight-year spell with Harare City from 2013 to 2021.
A striker with a reliable goal instinct, he also earned two caps for the Warriors in 2016, scoring on his international debut against Uganda.
“Dynamos are looking to add experience and a clinical edge upfront, with Manondo expected to provide an immediate boost to their title ambitions,” said a club insider.
“The club is actively working to finalise its squad, identifying the veteran hitman as a key acquisition. He is expected to join the club.
“There have been some considerations with Simba Bhora on his status but all parties included are willing for the move to be completed.
“Negotiations are understood to be at an advanced stage as Dynamos aim to secure the deal ahead of the new season.”
The duo of Trevor Mavunga and Barnabas Mtuche is also expected to join DeMbare on loan.
“The club is seeking to bolster their midfield options with experience by also adding the duo of Mtuche and Mavunga.
“However the club is set to part ways with Temptation Chiwunga after alleged improper conduct.
“There are allegations of improper conduct levelled against him and it will be difficult for the club to retain him.
“His case is a closed one.
“The duo of Valentine Kadonzvo and Keith Madera is also set not to be retained by the club.”

Are the PSL teams saying that there are no young players in this country? If the trend is to be relied on then our football is in deep trouble.
