ORGANISERS of the Mr and Miss Zimbabwe contest are happy with the preparations the athletes are making with only two weeks left before the high profile event. The event is expected to attract top bodybuilders from across the region.

Quiet Shangai, the National Federation of Zimbabwe Bodybuilders and Fitness spokesperson, said the athletes are preparing well and they are looking forward to a successful event.

“We have managed to host a seminar in which the athletes were inducted on several aspects which are expected by judges when taking to the stage which was successful.

“The issues were dealt with by experts such Collin Mushunje who touched more on poses, rounds posing attire and judges assessment for every division.

“The second presenter was Richard Bassel who focused on the basic fundamentals of male and female competitive fitness. And he went on to explain the difference between bodybuilding and fitness,” said Shangai.

The Mr and Miss Zimbabwe contest to be held at 7 Arts Theatre in Harare will see several categories which includes ladies figure, ladies bikini, men’s fitness physique and wheelchair bodybuilding.

Registration of the event will be held on the day of competition and tickets are already on sale.
