AFROJAZZ musician Mr Nash has stolen the limelight with his new extended play (EP) titled “Unosvika” which was released last Friday.

Mr Nash, real name Nash Muvimbi, has been on the back seat due to Covid-19 induced lockdown after having released his six-track album “Mashoko” in 2015 which received considerable airplay on local radio stations.

His latest EP has two tracks “Unosvika” and “Handigone” which are already doing well on local radio stations.

The 40-year-old musician said “Unosvika” was aimed at inspiring people who were trying to make it in life to never give up on their dreams.

“‘Unosvika’’ is about motivating people who are doing various projects and end up giving up, but I am saying they must not give up despite the difficulties they face along the way as it is part of the journey to success.

“People must not lose focus and refrain from listening to people who say negative things about them. They must know that God is at the centre of everything and he will fulfil our dreams.”

Mr Nash said the song “Handigone” runs parallel with “Unosvika” and the two songs link together with complementary messages.

“It (Handigone) is also an inspirational song which says a person cannot do it alone without God’s guidance to keep them moving forward.

“The song is like a prayer for strength to keep one moving forward despite any obstacles. There are times when we seek wisdom when doing many projects so the need for a spiritual push is what drove me to come up with this song.”

Mr Nash said his music, though it has got a touch of gospel in it, was for everyone despite age as it seeks to inspire people from different age groups.

He said those who want to be motivated should spare some time and listen to the EP as it is packed with inspirational quotes that can transform a person’s life.

Mr Nash said he will be releasing this third album called “Rwendo” (Journey) by the end of this month and people should expect some fireworks.
