infamous, “house of infidelity”.
Vegas has found a myriad of ways to deal with the image of discovering his baby’s mother, Shellian McBayne sleeping with another man in his Florida home this past October.
Vegas, who went on a social media rant to expose his ex-girlfriend’s actions, has released various visuals (video, photos) of the incident and even made a music video, “Bare Tingz”, in which he mocked the controversial occurrence.
Now, the “Bruk It Dung” singer is auctioning off furniture and other valuables from his Florida home, which was put up for sale in December.
Proceeds made from the auction, dubbed “Turning Dust Into Bricks”, will be donated towards the Mustard Seed Communities charity.
In a Press release, Vegas explained his reasoning towards dishing out furniture from his home.
“I cannot bear to see them and after throwing away the bed, I thought about the pain versus the waste.
“In thinking, I realised I was being selfish and there were many ways that people could benefit from this.”
Vegas said. “One being the children from the Mustard Seed Community, which is a charity I support.
“Also, in doing this I would hope to teach men who have been in my position, that all is not lost, a little laughter will help. Try turning your bad situation or circumstance into a good one, this world is about healing.”
Items included in the first “Turning Dust Into Bricks” auction include the bedroom set where the act of infidelity took place, as well as two matching night stands and a six-drawer dresser, including a decorative mirror and a chest of drawers.
A second auction will subsequently take place, including a three piece taupe micro-fibre and leather living room set as well as a sofa, love seat and a recliner chair.
Bidding for items in both auctions starts at US$9,99.
Meanwhile, Mr Vegas is working on a novel about cheating, called “Bare Tingz” and also has a website bearing the same name.
On the musical side of things, Vegas will soon release the official video for “Party Tun Up”, the second single off his highly acclaimed “Sweet Jamaica” double disc. — dancehallusa.
