adminDANCEHALL singjay Mr Vegas said he is reinventing himself for his upcoming project Euphoria. The album — produced by Danny Browne and Clevand Browne [aka Clevie, formerly of production duo Steely and Clevie fame] — is slated to be released digitally on September 23. “The listeners will get a chance to hear a more vocal side of me, where I am not singjaying or deejaying. Most of the tracks have an authentic Jamaican sound. It has an island vibe to it and I do believe that the fans will love it,” he told the Jamaica Observer.
According to Vegas, whose given name is Clifford Smith, the single My Jam is poised to be a huge hit. He said the track gives a jolt of happiness, with an infectious retro beat which will force anyone to be in a dancing mood.
He also has high hopes for a collab with Jovi Rockwell titled I Was Lonely and another with Sherita called Girl I’ve Got a Date. The latter is a cover version of the late Alton Ellisâ hit of the same name. — Jamaica Observer.
