MT Selinda High School in Chipinge will play host to this year’s National Association of Secondary Heads (NASH) national Under-17 handball finals.
The national handball finals begin next Thursday and come to an end on Saturday.
NASH head-in-charge of handball Wilfred Madhuku confirmed that 10 provincial representatives for both boys and girls will converge at Mt Selinda for this year’s finals.
“The NASH national handball finals for the Under-17 boys and girls will be held at Mt Selinda High in Chipinge starting next Thursday. Preparations are at an advanced stage and we are expecting to watch some exciting matches during the national finals,” he said.
Mt Selinda High U-17 handball teams for both boys and girls will come as hosts, while St Faith’s (Makoni) and Holy Ghost (Mutare) will also feature as Manicaland provincial winners. These will join other provincial winners as well as Daramombe — the girls’ national defending champions — and Churchill, the boys’ national defending champions. Madhuku said various forms of entertainment would be provided during the event at Mt Selinda.
“We will also have entertainment being provided in the form of Muchongoyo from Gaza High School in Chipinge, while Chibuwe High School students will entertain guests with their drum majorettes.”
