ZANU PF National Chairperson, Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, yesterday commended Zimbabweans for standing firm against the country’s detractors and voting resoundingly for the revolutionary party in the August harmonised elections.
She was speaking at the ongoing Zanu PF National People’s Conference in Gweru. Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said President Mnangagwa’s people centred policies have laid a foundation not just for Zimbabwe but for the region and beyond.
More countries are adopting policies initiated and implemented by the Zanu PF-led Government.
“Your Excellency allow me to congratulate you on your victory which demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that the people have trust and faith in you by voting for you in their large numbers defying efforts by our detractors to temper with our internal processes and election systems,” Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said.
The peace prevailing in the country, she said, is driven by the motto “peace, unity, peace and development”, adding that President Mnangagwa further inspired Zimbabweans by his mantra “nyika inovakwa, inonamatirwa, ichitongwa nevene vayo”.
She said as team Zanu PF, they are proud to be working under President Mnangagwa who is the Party’s First Secretary.
“You are laying a foundation not just for Zimbabwe but for the region and beyond. We have seen how more countries are adopting your policies,” Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said.
She said President Mnangagwa will live to be remembered as a champion of development.
“We thank you for being a champion of innovation, devolution, industrialisation and modernisation with tangible results in line with the AU’s year 63 development agenda.
We thank you for defending our independence and sovereignty”.
Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri led the various committees that organised the successful hosting of the party’s 20th National People’s Conference which ends tomorrow.
