DYNAMOS midfielder, Donald Mudadi recognises the Sunday’s Harare derby versus CAPS United is more than a Castle Lager Premiership fixture.
DeMbare are hosting Makepekepe at the National Sports Stadium.
The last time when Dynamos played at this venue was on June 23 when they thrashed ZPC Kariba 3-0 and then moved to Barbourfields for their home matches.
Mudadi has been, arguably, Dynamos’ best player and is leading the team’s scoring chart with five goals and four assists to his name.
The 27-year-old was also on target when Dynamos humbled the Green Machine with a 2-0 win at the National Sports Stadium in the reserve fixture.
Dynamos are going into this match on the back of a shocking 2-1 loss which they suffered last weekend at the hands of Bulawayo Chiefs.
And, the club’s coach, Genesis Mangombe seem to have a decent record against CAPS United.
He has collected seven points out of the available 12 in his last meetings with the Makepeke as a head coach.
Mudadi feels his side will need to respond to the energy in the stands.
“I feel very appreciated, Dynamos have given me the platform to showcase my talent and I’m very grateful. I’m feeling at home and I have challenged myself to help this team by every opportunity that I get.
“We can’t really promise much about this derby, our job is to deliver what our coach is expecting from us and I believe in our squad and we have the capacity to win against any local team.
“We were starting to get used to Barbourfields but the decision for this match to be played at our preferred home ground will help us to play in front of our fans who did not have the chance to travel to Bulawayo. And, our home coming match is not going to be an ordinary match,” said Mudadi.
