ALEC Mudimu says he is grateful to God after he joined a new club Flint Town FC.
This follows his release at Welsh Premier League club Caernarfon in January.
“I feel good first and I can only thank God for giving me this opportunity.
“As of recent times, I’ve been through the worst on and off the pitch, and felt no need to let the public or my fans know as those times are now things of the past.
“Flint Town, they talked to me about their project and what they are doing going forward and, for me, in my situation, it fits the bill.”
He added:
“I want to help the club go full force for the Europa League.
“Hopefully, I will get back to my best self and really kick on, there are a lot of exciting things that are happening behind closed doors that I hope can be made very concrete in the near future.”
His career has been a nomadic one.
“Yes that’s true,” he said.
“Unfortunately, unlike many of the players I’ve played with at club level and on the international stage, I don’t have big agents who work in my favour behind closed doors.
“I have in the past had to do a lot of the deals on behalf of myself, as many know.
“Now I’m in a blessed place with people who want to work in my favour for once and I feel something great is coming by God’s grace.”
A statement by Mudimu’s representatives PES FOOTBALL AGENCY said:
“We are delighted to confirm the transfer of Alec Mudimu to Flint Town Football Club in the first tier of the JD Cymru Premier League.”
After returning to the Cymru Premier in mid 2022, he made five appearances for Caernarfon in Phase One, playing a total of 281 minutes for the Canaries.
Mudimu also had a three-year spell at Cefn Druids between 2017-2020, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League play-offs before joining Champions League side Sheriff Tiraspol.
The 27-year-old played for Turkish club Ankaraspor, making 15 appearances before joining Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia.
Mudimu later returned to England, joining Altrincham but he left after just two appearances and returned to Georgia to join Saburtalo Tbilisi.
