ZIMBABWE international footballer, Munashe Garananga, might have played only one game for Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, but he is already hogging the limelight.
The 22-year-old featured in the entire 90 minutes in the 0-1 home loss to Partizan Belgrade.
Although Tiraspol lost the game, Garananga’s strong performance caught the eye.
He emerged as the player who made the most recoveries in the eight Europa League matches which were played on Thursday.
The former FC Dinamo Brest player completed 12 recoveries in the match.
That was two recoveries more than Vitor Hugo, the Brazilian who plays for Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Svetorzar Markovic (9), Marko Vekovic (8), Hrvonde Mikevic (8) and Igor (8) were the other top performers.
