Mupunga’s big move

Zimbabwe Sables powerhouse Victor Mupunga has signed a two-year deal with French club Bourg-en-Bresse!

The 25-year-old prop was one of the standout stars in Zimbabwe’s 2024 Rugby Africa Cup triumph − and now he’s heading to France’s Nationale division to chase his pro rugby dreams.

“Between the two seasons I had with CS Nuiton and the Africa Cup, I guess the club had their eye on me and took me on for the new project. A testament to prayers answered,” Mupunga said.

Victor joins a growing list of Sables flying the flag in France, alongside the likes of Shane Makombe, Riaan O’Neill, Cleopas Kundiona, Tapiwa Tsomondo, and Shingi Katsevere. − ZRU
