Murambadoro appointed Nedbank MD

NEDBANK Zimbabwe Limited has appointed seasoned banker Ms Betty Murambadoro as its new managing director, with the board expressing confidence in her ability to steer the institution.

Announcing the appointment, board chairperson Mr Innocent Dutiro said Ms Murambadoro brings a wealth of experience in corporate and investment banking, underpinned by a strong track record in the mining sector.

“Ms Murambadoro is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of our market,” he said.

“Her experience, judgment and stakeholder credibility position her well to lead the business with stability and purpose as we continue to execute our strategy.”

Ms Murambadoro has held several senior leadership roles in the banking sector, where she led complex transactions, drove balance-sheet growth and built long-term strategic relationships with corporates, Government and international partners.

She has also served on the boards of Standard Bank Eswatini and Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe, contributing to governance, risk oversight and regulatory engagement.

Her credentials are further enhanced by international training in sustainable finance, environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks, as well as corporate governance.

The board said the appointment would ensure continuity while advancing the bank’s commitment to its clients, shareholders and the broader Zimbabwean economy.
