ELEVEN “amakorokoza” facing murder charges for allegedly killing Langton Ncube at Hope Fountain in a dispute over a  mine, have been granted $50 bail each.
The eleven; Godknows Nzombe, Lungisani Sibanda, gift Ticharima, Clifford Gudo, Mandla Moyo, Nomore Mike, Muchakagara Zisegwe, Maxwell Mutudza, Kaleb Zisegwe, Dennis Mudlozera and Luwen Takaedza whose ages were not given, were granted bail by  Sibongile Msipa.
The 11 are alleged to have assaulted Ncube causing him to fall into a 25 metres deep pit resulting in his death.

A postmortem stated that Ncube died due to a ruptured right lung as a result of the fall and assault.
The 11 were arrested on May 15 and they initially appeared in court on May 19.

All the murder suspects are represented by Liberty Mcijo of Mcijo, Dube and Partners.
Msipa said the suspects were not a flight risk and were therefore good candidates for bail.

“They are good candidates for bail because after the incident, they acted responsibly by calling the police instead of running away,” she said.
As part of the bail conditions, the suspects are to reside at   Syndicate Mine, Harvest Farm until the matter is finalised.

They were also ordered to report once a fortnight on Fridays at Hillside Police Station and not to interfere with state witnesses.
Alondoloziwe Sitsha is representing the state.
