The Murehwa community was left shell-shocked after the allegations that the teenager had raped the granny surfaced recently. The teenager, James Nyakune of Chiradza Village in Chief Mangwende’s area, was set to appear in court last week, but the case was deferred to a later date.
The teenager allegedly raped the granny despite her attempts to wrestle him and fend him off. According to prosecutor for Murehwa, Mr Panganayi Chiutsi, Nyakune raped the victim after he pounced on her while she was bathing.
