Mureza Auto Company to establish vehicle assembly plant in Zimbabwe

ZIMBABWE and South African registered car brand Mureza Auto Company has revealed plans to increase its investment portfolio in Zimbabwe.

The company is set to establish a cutting-edge factory in Beatrice, which will be the hub for its manufacturing activities in the country.

In a statement, Mureza Auto Company, marketing and communication officer Ms Chido Nemhara said the factory will comprise a 10 000 square meter plant dedicated to vehicle assembly and a 50 000 square meter powertrain plant.

She said once complete, they will employ a minimum of 5 000 permanent staff, contributing significantly to the local economy and providing opportunities for Zimbabweans.

“Mureza Auto Company is proud to announce that Zimbabwe will serve as the headquarters for our operations, solidifying our commitment to the African market,” said Ms Nemhara.
“We are excited to unveil plans for a cutting-edge factory in Beatrice, which will be the hub for our manufacturing activities.

“Our executive board, led by Engineer Fourfold Tendai Chigumadzi, will oversee the strategic direction of the company. The board brings together experienced professionals with a deep understanding of the automotive industry and a passion for innovation.”

Ms Nemhara said Mureza will launch two flagship models: the Shona Sedan and the T-One Pick Up.
Both models will be available with either electric vehicle (EV) or internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrains, offering customers a range of options to suit their preferences.
