Murwira goes green

Blessing Malinganiza

GODKNOWS Murwira has joined CAPS United.

The utility player was shown the exit door by Dynamos in a mass clear out that affected 13 players.

The Warriors’ right back’s contract with DeMbare expired on December 31, and he was informed that it would not be renewed.

The former Ngezi Platinum Stars defender fizzled out of the Dynamos team towards the end of last season under unclear circumstances.

“The negotiations are done, we just have to finalise everything today (yesterday).

“The finer details are being worked on and we are hoping that by the end of today (yesterday) or tomorrow (today) all the paperwork will be done for him to join.”

Murwira joined Dynamos on loan from FC Platinum in 2019.

Murwira had been loaned until the end of the season, although Dynamos later opted to make the deal permanent.

Murwira made his name at Dynamos before Tonderai Ndiraya snapped him up for Ngezi Platinum Stars.

After a splendid season with the Ngezi side in which he was voted among the Soccer Stars of the Year, FC Platinum opened the cheque book and lured him to Zvishavane.

He was also part of the Warriors’ AFCON squad in Cameroon in 2021.

Murwira departs Dynamos with captain Partson Jaure, Alex Orotomal, Albert Eonde, Keith Murera, Sylvester Appiah and Ralph Kawondera.

DeMbare are also in discussions with Martin Ofori and Evans Katema for a mutual termination of contracts.
