SOUTH African amapiano star, Musa Keys, and fellow countrymen Toss, 9umba Toss and Moloovar, are set to grace the Victoria Falls Carnival next month.Jah Prayzah and Nutty O will lead a contingent of local acts at the same music fete running from April 28 to 30 at the Elephant Hills Resort.
Now in its 11th edition, the event will also feature performances from Black Motion, Lerato Kganyago, Mafikizolo, Mac G and Sol.
In a statement, the carnival director, Craig Bright, revealed that this year’s event will also be hosted in Livingstone, Zambia, but not taking away the traditional Victoria Falls and Zimbabwean flair.
“For the first time in its history, the Vic Falls Carnival will cross the Zambezi to include the Zambian side in a host of stand-alone music experiences at the beautiful five-star Radisson Blue Resort, reaching more fans and creating a bigger festival footprint than ever before.
“The spirit of the Vic Falls Carnival remains the same – beautiful locations, competitive packages, a wide selection of artists from across the continent, and uniting music and adventure fans from around the world in a celebration of all things Africa,” said Bright.
The organisers announced Jah Prayzah’s participation through their social media handle, much to the excitement of the artist’s fans.
Jah Prayzah joins Black Motion, Enzo Ishall, Anita Jaxon, Mac G and Sol, LKG Top Cheri, DJ Rimo, DJ Nitefreak, Mafikizolo, Han CKhoisan and Mokoomba.
Bright said they were in the process of adding more acts for the event.
“We will be announcing a host of new artists in the weeks to follow from across the continent as well as an international headliner,” he said.
The 11th edition of the festival promises to be a fine musical experience.
Last year’s headline acts DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Shasha didn’t turn up for the festival.
This led the organisers to initiate the arrest of Maphorisa and Kabza De Small for breach of contract.
