ASPIRING House of Assembly candidate for Bindura North constituency Cde Kenneth Musanhi has urged people to vote resoundingly for Zanu-PF in Wednesday’s harmonised elections to safeguard the country’s sovereignty.Addressing party supporters at Matepatepa in Bindura last last week, Cde Musanhi said there was no other party like Zanu-PF.
“Zanu-PF has a history unlike these other parties which were created to advance the interests of the white community. MDC represents the interests of whites. Their talk is all about reversing the land redistribution exercise so that they give it back to the whites,” he said.
Cde Musanhi said MDC-T and the West collaborated to broaden the scope of sanctions against Zimbabwe.
He also called on those who were allocated land and resources during the land reform and indigenisation empowerment programmes to ensure that they increase productivity and urged Zimbabweans to support the party which empowered them.
“Zimbabwe needs Zanu-PF not sponsored and unprincipled political parties. It came through a protracted war of independence. Gallant sons and daughters lost their lives in the struggle for liberation,” he said.
“Lest we forget our fallen heroes who selflessly dedicated their lives to free the nation. We must therefore safeguard our sovereignty as Zanu-PF relentlessly fought for the interest of the people and our independence.
“Zimbabweans should deal with Mr Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC-T and the Western imperialists once and for all in the forthcoming elections.
“This is the time to send a message to the Western imperialists and the rest of the world that Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans. We are a sovereign and independent country. It is sad that Tsvangirai believes that Zimbabweans are not capable of utilising their own resources,” Cde Musanhi said.
