Musharu explains CAF squad omission

Explaining his omission from the Mighty Bulls CAF Cup squad, Musharu described it as a sad development as it meant he would miss a great opportunity to play in the African Safari.
“I would have loved to have another dance on the international scene playing for Motor Action but unfortunately my loan deal expired and I am returning to Monomotapa. As a player if I had it my way I could have stayed but this involves two teams.
“This is quite unfortunate but I am looking forward to work myself up in the game. Obviously I will miss the great opportunities that come with participating in the CAF Cup,” said Musharu.
He said he would miss the Mighty Bulls after making friends with a couple of players and striking a combination with players such as Allan Gahadzikwa.
“Playing for Motor Action in the last two seasons was great and I will miss life there. Playing alongside great players like Allan Gahadzikwa made me feel at home. There were not many big names and the potential is great.
“Winning the league last year and playing in the inaugural Mbada Diamonds Cup final against Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium was one of the moments I treasure. With consistency we could have successfully defended the title last year,” he said.
Musharu said missing the BancABC Sup8r final against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium due to suspension was one of his disappointments.
Coming from an indisciplined season dogged by red cards, Musharu still managed to ghost in with crucial goals for the Mighty Bulls. His first season at the Eric Rosen project was fruitful as he topped the club’s scoring charts.
Musharu hails from Gweru’s Mtapa suburb where he honed his skills.
