“To be here today, it is not by my ability, but by the grace of the Heavenly God. I give thanks to the Almighty for keeping and blessing me this far as I turn 58 years.

“To everyone who has walked this journey with me over the years, I pray that the Good Lord continues guiding you,” said Zhakata.
As news of his birthday spread, fans from across Zimbabwe flooded social media with heartfelt tributes, celebrating both his music and the values he has embodied throughout his career.
Washington Masenda wrote: “Happy birthday Baba Zhakata. I am happy to see you living many more years. You have conducted yourself so well, and that is why you remain so young.”
