THE Monday night jam sessions are back!

Famed for giving artists exposure, the slot is being held on Mondays at City Sports Bar in the capital.

It had been suspended, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Musicians have welcomed Devine Assignments’ move to revive the slot.

Sungura artist, Mathew Perego, Texas Tekenya and Gushungo Wekwa Mbwetete were some of the artists who performed at the slot.

Gushungo told H-Metro he was happy with the return of the slot.

“I was inspired by my brothers, Jah Prayzah and Andy Muridzo, who started from humble beginnings.

“I am happy that the jam sessions are back and we will support the initiative,” he said.

He also sent the crowd wild during his slot with mbira songs.
