Musona’s future confirmed

Zimbabwe captain Knowledge Musona has returned to Jupiler Pro League (Belgian First Division ) side KAS Eupen on a season-long loan deal from Anderlecht.

Musona (30), was linked with a potential return to South Africa after being deemed surplus to requirements at the Belgian giants but his current wage demands priced the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns out of the race.

As a result, Eupen acted swiftly to secure the striker on loan for the 2020/21 season after he impressed during his stint during the second half of the last campaign.

“KAS Eupen has agreed with RSC Anderlecht to extend the loan of Knowledge Musona,” read a statement on the club’s website.

Musona netted two goals in seven appearances for Benat San Jose’s side before the Belgian top-flight was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.—Kickoff.com
