Mutare, Rooselvelt to defend titles

The tournament is set to attract 24 schools from all the provinces with teams of both boys and girls taking part. Each province will bring in a team and the host and defending champions will add the numbers.
The annual tournament will mark the end of the basketball season, which began early this term.

Zimbabwe Basketball Union competitions director Simon Lawson is hopeful that the tournament will live to expectations.
“We are looking forward to highly competitive tournaments this weekend. The players have come a long way considering the various stages they passed through to get to this stage,” said Lawson.
