Award winning R&B singer Audius Mutawarira has released a video for his song “Zimbabwean Girl”. The single which is on Audious’ new album titled “House of Stones’’ is a dedication to Zimbabwean women and so far the video has received warm response from local and international fans on YouTube.
In an interview, Audious said he was overwhelmed by the response the video was getting and highlighted that he has respect for Zimbabwean women.
“The video was released this month. I’m pleased with the feedback so far from my fans via social media and on my YouTube page. I respect Zimbabwean women so I figured it’s time to dedicate a song to them. The motive was to release something up tempo and be a bit playful at the same time, it also features my brother RonTingz who added a bit of comedy while he was pursuing one of the female characters,” Audious said.
He said he was working on the album launch which would be full of surprises at a date to be announced.
“I’m planning an album launch and the album is one of my favourites as I’ve allowed myself to cater for every fan,” he said.
At present, Audious is working on setting up a music studio that would also assist local artists.
“I have a great team behind me and strategic partners. We are hoping to start rebuilding the music industry here in Zimbabwe with a high calibre of music and video productions as well as artistic development,” he said.
