Mutendera happy with Chipembere’s performance

Chipembere Under-13 cricket team travelled to Masvingo to play in the Under-13 Southern Rocks Franchise development tournament.
The two teams played two T20 matches and two 50-over matches at Masvingo Sports Club.
Chipembere won three out of four matches.
Southern Rocks managed to win one of the 50-over match.
Mutendera said most players also had the opportunity to use cricket boots for the first in their careers.
“Most players also had the opportunity to use cricket boots for the first time in their early careers, courtesy of Bakers Inn,” said Mutendera.
“As Zimbabwe Cricket would like to thank Bakers Inn for making this trip possible, our trip has been such a success for our developing team as they had a chance to rub shoulders with other development teams.
“The support from Bakers Inn will go a long way in making our future little stars realise their dream of playing cricket at the highest level.
“A job well done from the coaches of both teams, Emmanual Dube for Southern Rocks and Isiah Makiyi, for Chipembere.”
Outstanding players from Chipembere School were Tsungai Motsi, Rodrick Mufudza, Tawanda Zimhindo and Marshal Takodza.

First 20/20
Southern Rock 88 all out, Chipembere 90/6, Chipembere won by four wickets.
Second 20/20
Southern Rock 115/8, Chipembere 117/4 , Chipembere won by six wickets

First 50 over match
Southern Rocks 186/9, Chipembere 130,   Southern Rock won by 56 runs.
Second 50 Over match
Chipembere 176/7  Southern Rock 115, Chipembere won by 61 runs.
