Veteran Zimbabwean striker Knox Mutizwa is on the hunt for a new club after being officially offloaded by South African Betway Premiership side Richards Bay FC, just months after joining the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.
Sources close to the player have confirmed that the forward, affectionately known as “The Sniper,” has been granted a free transfer following a brief stint at the Natal Rich Boyz.
His departure opens the door for a sensational return to the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League, with giants Dynamos emerging as the frontrunners for his signature.
Mutizwa joined Richards Bay in October 2025 with much fanfare, seeking regular game time after a legendary spell at Lamontville Golden Arrows.

While he made an immediate impact, netting four goals in his first three appearances, his influence waned as the season progressed.
The club has opted to restructure its squad, leaving the veteran striker to search for opportunities elsewhere.
The potential move to Dynamos represents a full-circle moment for the Bulawayo-born striker, who began his professional career with Highlanders, Dynamos’ fiercest rivals.
DeMbare, under the guidance of their technical department, are reportedly in the market for a proven goal scorer to lead their charge in the upcoming Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
The club’s hierarchy views Mutizwa’s experience and clinical finishing as the missing piece to end their long-standing title drought.
While talks are said to be in the preliminary stages, sources indicate that Mutizwa is keen on regular game time and a stable environment. Dynamos are expected to formalise their interest in the coming days.
“Dynamos have been made aware of the players’ situation and considerations have been made.
“The club will see if it will make an official offer but there is a possibility the club might want to add more firepower,” said a source close to Dynamos.

This should actually be the trend where we get back our elite footballers playing in other leagues so that we can optimize the squad composition by reserving the foreign qouta for high impact international calibre not average ones.
