Mutosvori denies dating Miniehle

“My brother, didn’t we all pledge to assist the family? Didn’t we all pledge to support the wife and children? Some even pledged to set up a benefit fund, where did that all go?
“Quite honestly, I am surprised the rumour mill is awash with news that I am seeing Miniehle. What wrong did I do to be persecuted in such a manner?
“Is it not true that we are one big family and when I meet her, it could be in shops or restaurant we sit down and talk?
“Should I ignore her just because we are in public?” he said.
Setting the record straight, Mutosvori, who was referred to as “Bhudhi” by the late Dhewa on the song “Masimba” taken off his hit album “Toita Basa”, claims he is not dating Miniehle.
“If there are men out who want her they should come forward and make it known without dragging my name into this mess. I have no intentions of marrying Miniehle because I am happily married,” he said.
According to Mutosvori rumours on the alleged affair probably emerged after people noticed his wife’s absence. Mrs Mutosvori is out of the country studying for her bachelor’s degree.
“Kwekwe is a small town and people used to see me with my wife before she left to study and they probably thought I am now a divorcee. That is not so true.
“The other time I met Miniehle in a restaurant and we had lunch together. Was there anything wrong in that? I know her and she knows me, so really there is nothing more to it,” he said.
Questions have bee flying all over with people asking the motive behind Mutosvori’s generous donation of his Peugeot drop-top to Miniehle for he private use.
“Well, maybe I shouldn’t have given her the car which I used to drive because that gave people the wrong impression. Most people thought it meant that we were dating and yet that is not the case.
“I gave her the car because she wanted to use it to pick up her child from school since she now lives 20km away from town,” he said.
Asked to give credence to Miniehle’s alleged pregnancy, Mutosvori said he would not know since he was not her fiancé.
“The best person to answer that question would be the fiancée and not me because we are not an item,” he said.
Mutosvori, however, expressed concern over the way Peter Moyo, the late Dhewa’s son, handled the issue saying he could have quashed the rumours once and for all.
“He is doing a great job to support the family but on this issue he should have explained to you what is going on,” he said.
The rumours went into overdrive after Miniehle moved out of the Dhewa family home and was subsequently seen driving in Mutosvori’s luxury car.
Peter was quick to come to Mutosvori and Miniehle’s defence saying there was no shred of truth in the rumours.
“As far as I know, there is nothing like that. Mutosvori is like family to us we wonder where this is all coming from,” he said.
It has been a year since Dhewa died and Miniehle has already indicated her plans to remarry.
She recently revealed her wish to stay out of the limelight arguing that she was no longer married to a celebrity.
