LEGENDARY goalkeeper, Gift “Umbro” Muzadzi, has been unveiled as the Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe as assistant coach.
Muzadzi left Dynamos at the end of the last campaign and he has now been tasked with providing mentorship to the Harare section of the academy of all age groups.
“One of Zimbabwe’s finest goalkeepers and coaches, Gift Muzadzi, has joined our technical team in our aim to produce world class talent from our campus through the Real Betis methodology of football,” the academy said in a statement.
“We are delighted to have his experience in both his playing and coaching career. Muzadzi, will lead our goalkeepers’ department in our senior age groups.”
It’s a reunion for Muzadzi and head coach, Naison Muchekela, as they were together at Dynamos last season.
Muchekela recently joined the academy, replacing Murape Murape, who was appointed Dynamos assistant coach.
Another former goalkeeper, Tichaona Diya, is also another coach at the academy with a Dynamos background.
