Muzondiwa tasked with growing Unilever business

The new Unilever Zimbabwe managing director, Hilary Muzondiwa has been tasked with growing the company’s business to impact its local consumers. Mr Muzondiwa was appointed managing director for Unilever Zimbabwe with effect from January this year. In a statement, Unilever said Mr Muzondiwa’s career has been predominately shaped at Unilever, having joined the organisation as a management trainee in 2002.“Over the past 13 years, Muzondiwa has worked in various roles in engineering, supply chain, SHE, human resources and customer development in several African countries and in Singapore,” the statement said.

In April 2012, Mr Muzondiwa became the managing director of Unilever Zambia, a position he held until his new posting.

The statement said Mr Muzondiwa has led and supported teams with diverse backgrounds and is passionate about achieving business growth and developing people.

“He has extensive experience with factory and go to market operations, capability building and developing operational efficiencies.

“In line with Unilever’s global strategy to make sustainable living commonplace, Muzondiwa has been tasked with making a positive impact on the lives of Zimbabwean consumers and communities through Unilever brands while growing the business,” the company said.
