MWOS U-19 utility player Aristotle Manyama says he wants to keep on improving after he proved instrumental in his team’s 2-1 victory over Chegutu Pirates at Gwanzura Stadium in the Division One Northern Region Soccer League on Saturday.
The young playmaker, who signed with MWOS in 2024 coming from GreenFuel, delivered a tireless shift in defence, helping his side secure crucial points.
His vision, work rate and composure on the ball have quickly made him a key figure in the team’s set-up.
“I’m happy with the win, and I just want to keep contributing to the team’s success,” Manyama said after the match.
“Every game is an opportunity to improve, and I’m focused on helping MWOS U-19 win more matches this season.”
With ambitions stretching beyond lower division football, Manyama dreams of breaking again into the Premier League and eventually securing a move abroad.
He first had a stint in the top-flight with Tenax after making the grade straight from St Matthias High School in 2022 before joining Greenfuel.
“My goal is to play at the highest level possible, whether in the Zimbabwean Premier League or overseas. I’m working hard every day to make that a reality,” he added.
The rising star draws inspiration from Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, admiring the Belgian’s creativity and leadership.
On the local scene, he credits former GreenFuel teammate Tinotenda Mutyambizi for shaping his development.
“Playing alongside Tino taught me a lot about professionalism and consistency. He pushed me to be better,” Manyama acknowledged.
MWOS U19 will be away to Ngezi U19 at Gwanzura on Thursday and will be seeking to register their second win of the season.
