“Pace is a critical element in organisational decision-making in view of the quicker speed of change in our contemporary environment,” he said.
“Managers should be quick in responding to changes in the environment, or face extinction.” .
Mr Christophides added that people were an organisation’s greatest asset. Positive remuneration was therefore necessary for skills retention
He also called upon companies to expose their human capital to the international context, but reiterated the need to re-engage the skills the country is losing to the Diaspora.
The ZIM Manager of the Year awards are conferred each year to the top managers who have contributed towards the promotion and development of management excellence.
