Mzistozz Mfanafuthi ready for unforgettable night

AS anticipation builds for the upcoming gig featuring South African deep house sensation Lee MC Krazy, local Kwaito and Yanos superstar, Mzistozz Mfanafuthi, is buzzing with excitement.

“This is very exciting and also a very nice way to start the festive season for me,” he shared in a recent interview.

The thrill of performing alongside industry heavyweights like Mzoe7, King98, Holy Ten, Voltz JT and Chuck Nosis adds to his enthusiasm.

“I’m really looking forward to it — not just performing, but sharing the stage with the absolutely electric and inspiring artiste that is Lee MC Krazy. It’s going to be truly epic!”

Reflecting on his recent performances, Mzistozz has been on a busy streak since captivating audiences at the Miss Teen of the Universe Zimbabwe, pageant in August.

He has graced stages at various events, including the Music Fiesta in Filabusi and the Family Colour Festival at Hartsfield, as well as numerous private shows.

“It’s been a bit busy, and I’m grateful for that,” he said. “I’ve just been trying to stay in it and entertain the people.”

With his passion for music unwavering, Mzistozz is also committed to delivering new sounds to his fans.

“I promised more music and that still stands. I have too much love for the music and my fans ,” he emphasised.

He is hard at work in the studio, teasing exciting collaborations with both local and international artistes.

“I think it’s going to be a nice change, but not too far off from the usual Mzistozz,” he hinted, leaving fans eager for what’s to come.

Looking ahead, Mzistozz reflected on a year that has presented its share of challenges.

“This year, honestly, hasn’t been the best nor very favourable, but I’m not complaining because I’m still here. My fans and the people still come through for me.” With optimism for 2025, he is ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. Next year has a lot in store for me, and I’m excited to share it with everyone.”

Ending 2023 on a high note, Mzistozz was crowned the Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards (BAA) Outstanding Kwaito/House/Gqom winner, a testament to his talent and dedication.

As he prepares for the upcoming gig with Lee MC Krazy, there’s no doubt that Mzistozz Mfanafuthi will bring his unique energy, choreography and passion to the stage, making it a night to remember for all in attendance.
