Yadah midfield pair of King Nadolo and Marlon Mushonga look very much revitalised under the mentorship of coach Thomas Ruzive.
Nadolo joined the Miracle Boys early last year after dumping CAPS United, who looked set to sign him.
He, however, was hardly impressed as the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance team struggled throughout the season and only staged a miraculous escape from relegation on the final day of the term.
Likewise, Mushonga was slightly recognisable at champions Ngezi Platinum Stars, where he played only nine matches last year.
With his chances of seeing more game-time at Baobab Stadium looking slim, Mushonga was loaned out to Yadah at the start of the season.
And the pair has been looking sharp for Ruzive’s charges, contributing nine assists between them in 18 games.
“I am very happy with the improvement which I can also see.
“Last year wasn’t very ideal for me because I was still trying to settle at the team and you know the expectations were also very high,” said Nadolo.
“I have now settled in well and I am enjoying my game again. I have assisted four goals, all scored by Khama Billiat this term.
“I read his movements very well and I should say he is the one who has improved my general play.
“I am enjoying every bit of it and I wish to thank Billiat for helping me improve my game in a big way.”
Nadolo is, however, linked with a mid-season move away from The Heart Stadium, with Northern Region Soccer League title-chasing side Scottland his likely destination.
There are strong indications that the former Dynamos winger could play his last match for Yadah on Saturday when they host GreenFuel at Heart.
For Mushonga, it’s been about striking an understanding with his midfield colleagues that has had him ticking again.
“As a player, you always want to perform well and give the team the best that you can.
” When I arrived here, I just made sure that we carved good relations with colleagues outside the field of play to make it easy on the pitch,” said Mushonga.
“I am grateful to Prophet Magaya who took me on a loan and I am now rediscovering myself. I am always trying to perfect my art and I am happy here.
“I believe Yadah have some of the best players in the league right now and I believe they will be up there at the end of the season.”
Mushonga plays deeper in the midfield while Nadolo is deployed a bit higher up. He is not short of buddies at Heart Stadium as he is playing alongside long-time Ngezi Platinum teammate Ariel Makopa.
