Warriors midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, who recently signed for Belgian giants Club Brugge, has won more duels and tackles than any other midfielder in the Netherlands topflight league since the 2015-16 season.

Nakamba has been on the books of Vitesse since 2014 where he signed from French outfit AS Nancy.
Statistics made by optasports.com indicate that the former Bantu Rovers player won 174 tackles and 442 duels and as a result he is ranked number one among all midfielders that play in the Dutch league.

Nakamba made 561 successful recoveries and he is thus the second best midfielder. He made 126 interceptions to make him the third best midfielder. He made 114 fouls and in that regard he also comes out third.

The footie star had a stellar 2016-17 season for Vitesse, with his performance at the Dutch topflight side winning him admiration from the cluba��s fans, who voted him their second best player of the season. He lost to striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel for the top prize.

Nakamba established himself as a vital cog at the Dutch outfit and won his first silverware in Europe when Vitesse collected a major trophy for the first time in their 125-year history by beating AZ Alkmaar in the Dutch Cup final.

Because of his consistent performances at Vitesse, Nakamba became a subject of intense speculation early this year, with reports from the Netherlands linking him with a move to English Premier League side Everton, as well as Turkish giants Galatasaray and Belgiuma��s Anderlecht.

The former Njube High School student who was born in Hwange, on Tuesday joined Club Brugge on a four-year deal after completing his medicals. In Belgium he links up with Warriorsa�� captain Knowledge Musona as well as former national team midfielders Vusa Nyoni and Honour Gombami who are now on the sidelines of the main show with Nyoni in the second tier while Gombani is retired.
