ZIMBABWE international Marvelous Nakamba is reportedly on the verge of joining English Premier League side Fulham from Aston Villa on loan up to the end of the season.
Nakamba has been looking for a new home after he was told to leave Villa Park by coach Unai Emery.
And H-Metro understands the Warriors’ star has agreed terms with Fulham for a five-month loan deal.
Sources close to the former Club Brugge star revealed that he was expected to have a medical yesterday to complete his move.
His manager David Manasseh told Birmingham Mail that they were expecting to seal a move before the transfer deadline.
Nakamba was also on the radar of other clubs in England Championship, but he chose to stay in the top-flight.
The 29-year-old was also on the radar of Newcastle, but latest reports suggest the Magpies are longer interested.
Manasseh confirmed to Birmingham that Nakamba is set to leave.
“I’m working on it, I’m sure by tomorrow (today) we will have a result.”
Nakamba travelled with Emery’s squad for the trip to the UAE last month and played against Chelsea, but that’s likely to be the last time he plays in claret and blue.
He joined Villa in the summer of 2019 following the club’s promotion to the Premier League and made a total of 58 league appearances in that time.
