FINALLY it’s out!!! The long awaited list of the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) nominees was released yesterday with a number of Bulawayo artistes featuring in different  categories while Jah Prayzah appears in four. The presentation of the awards will be held in Bulawayo for the second year running at the Rainbow Hotel on February 15.

Man of the moment, Jah Prayzah has been nominated in the Outstanding Male Musician, Outstanding Song, Outstanding Album and Outstanding Video categories.

Jazz sensation, Jeys Marabini features in the Outstanding Male Musician award with Jah Prayzah and Sulumani Chimbetu.
Last year, Sulu scooped three awards, Outstanding Male Musician, Outstanding Album and The People’s Choice awards.

Bulawayo artistes have maintained dominance in the literary, dance, three dimensional, and short film categories.
