NGEZI Platinum stars midfielder, Nisbert Muzenda, is probably the coolest schoolboy in the country.

The 17-year-old is doing his A Levels at Wanganui in Mhondoro and the National of Association of Secondary School Heads has recognised Muzenda with a rare reward for playing in the Division Two, ZIFA Northen Region Division One and PSL in a space of one-year and six months.

This association has elevated Muzenda to the position that will see him wearing the tracksuits which are meant for headmasters. The National of Association of Secondary School Heads, district chairperson, Abinel Mutembwa who is also the headmaster of Wanganui Secondary School, said exceptional students deserves this type of acknowledgement.

“What he has accomplished in a short period says a lot about his mental strength and hunger for success. I believe it is way beyond his love for football he is someone who was destined for greatness.

“I sat down with my colleagues within the National of Association of Secondary School Heads and we all agreed that we should honor this boy for his remarkable stride.

“We did this not only to make him feel special but there are many children who have the capacity to surpass his achievements and we did this to challenge them,” said Mutembwa.

Mutembwa said he is constantly assisting Muzenda to deal with culture shock.

“He is now a well-known at school and in the community of Mhondoro, they are now idolising him and this comes with much weight. Girls and bad friends also wants to be close to him.

“He will definitely l struggle to reach his full potential if there is no one to remind him about the bigger picture and I feel like since he spends most of his time at school, it should be our duty as teachers to give him all the information he needs to survive in this brutal field.

“I’m confident that he will succeed in life because he is a bright student with a huge football talent,” said Mutembwa.

Meanwhile, the team’s executive member, Rumbidzai Muyambuki is currently in Spain where she was invited for the annual World Football Summit which got underway yesterday.
