One of the country’s leading hardware and electrical goods suppliers Nations Hardware and Electrical this week held a two-day training workshop for electric fence installers as part of the national initiative of empowering citizens with life skills. The skills transfer training workshop fits well within Government’s economic empowerment policies and Zim-Asset economic blueprint which seeks to create several jobs through local initiatives.In this skills empowerment drive, Nations Hardware and Electrical partnered renowned South African company Nemtek Electric Fence.
The Nemtek group manufactures and supplies a full spectrum of energisers and fencing hardware for industrial, commercial and residential applications.
Speaking on the sidelines of the training workshop in Harare, Nations Hardware and Electrical Sales projects co-ordinator Mr Dusty Mohammed said the training was also aimed at empowering installers with latest technological skills in the industry.
“We are deeply involved in the empowerment and development of local installers, tradesmen and artisans by providing quality and world renowned products,” he said.
“This initiative provides the local tradesmen with a support base from where they can purchase trusted products so that they have peace of mind that all the products come with full manufacturer’s background and after sales support,” he said.
Nations Hardware and Electrical’s product range includes Nemtek products. Mr Mohammed said their objective was to provide unique and world class services in the hardware and electrical goods sector.
“Having been in the hardware and tools industry for several years, we felt there was a need to fill a void that other players in the industry could not fill, which is the need for true customer satisfaction by providing products and services that are unmatched in Zimbabwe,” he said.
“We aim to provide a service that is internationally recognised — simultaneously providing quality products that are unaffordable and consistent with international standards and the significant advances in this industry.”
Mr Mohammed said their partner in the training Nemtek had become the benchmark for the security electric fencing industry.
