NATIONAL Athletics Association of Zimbabwe competitions director Manuel Mpofu says they are expecting around 400 athletes to converge at the University of Zimbabwe for the Senior and Junior Interprovincial Championships.
The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
Registration for the championships closed last week.
“We are now at the point of verifying the start list.
“Now they are doing the verification. We have sent it back to the provinces and to the clubs, the entries, so that they can verify.
“We are closing today that verification process and tomorrow, we have the final numbers,” said Mpofu.
The meet is serving as the final selection competition for a number of upcoming regional and continental championships.
