Marck-Patsanza, said the company had embarked on a massive marketing campaign for its personalised blankets ahead of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation general assembly slated for August.
“Our new products, personalised blankets, are branded in a manner that they meet our client’s specifications. We have already begun producing the personalised blankets for our local and regional clients.
“We maintain our strategy of new product development in order to ensure continuous improvement to the existing product range.
“Numerous schools, churches, including players in the hospitality sector, have already placed orders for the branded blankets,” she said.
Mrs Marck-Patsanza said despite the financial constraints plaguing the manufacturing sector, National Blankets had invested immensely in sourcing manufacturing equipment.
“Our Bulawayo factory is highly equipped with state-of-the-art machinery in its weaving, warping, raising and finishing sections, which makes it more than capable to produce blankets of superior quality,” she said.
Mrs Marck-Patsanza said local companies should take advantage of the ZITF to market their products, noting that there was abundance of both local and foreign potential customers.
“Our company has been exhibiting annually its wide range of products which come in different designs and colours at the ZITF since its establishment.
“The annual event has over the years provided us an opportunity to create and strengthen ties with our clients.
“Most of our local clients can relate with our products because National Blankets is a home-grown brand,” she said.
Mrs Marck-Patsanza said Zimbabweans should continue supporting locally manufactured goods as their production created employment for locals.
