More Brazilian exhibitors at trade fair

Ortega said about seven companies were participating in the fair this year.
“Last year one or two companies participated on their own without the Brazilian government. This year the government participated as a lot of companies showed interest in being part of the trade fair and we have a bigger presence as seven companies are exhibiting,” said Mr Ortega.
He said the companies were exhibiting as they had seen several business opportunities at the trade fair.

“The companies saw great business opportunities in the trade fair, especially in the agricultural sector as most of the machinery we are exhibiting is mainly agricultural equipment.
“The exhibited equipment includes samples of machinery being manufactured in Brazil and some of it is being sold,” said Mr Ortega.

He said they were also hoping to share agricultural information with the country as Brazil had an  agricultural sector similar to that of Zimbabwe.
“Zimbabwe agricultural sector is similar to that of Brazil. We have related weather patterns and soil structures. We are looking forward to forming partnerships and share information with other agricultural businesses in the country,” said Mr Ortega.

He said the Brazilian ambassador would attend the official opening of the trade fair on Friday.
“The companies and the trade fair will receive support from the Brazilian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Marcia Maro Da Silva, who will grace the official opening of the trade fair on Friday,” said Mr Ortega.
