National Darts Association confident

THE National Darts Association of Zimbabwe is confident that the players who will represent the country at the 23rd edition of the Zone VI Championships next week in Blantrye, Malawi, will challenge for honours.The players were selected after a national tournament held in Harare over the Heroes’ holiday.

Twenty one players, in different age groups, were selected for the championships that will be held from August 28 to September 2 in Blantyre, Malawi.

The players are mainly made up of youngsters below 18 years of age who have emerged from the association’s development programme.
NDAZ president, Maynard Moyo, said he was happy with the team which is going to represent the country.

“We are very happy and hopeful that we can do well in the event,” Moyo said. “The players have come from our development programme and we look forward to grooming them into mature players,” Moyo said.

Girls Under-15: Moreblessing Lupahla, Rosemary Pasipamire, Pamela Mosiya, Nozibo Sibisi, Diana Pahwaungana Boys Under-15: Mayron Janey, Rugare Mapanzure, Harton Torotoro, Passmore Vera, Tafadzwa Chigabe, Honor Chidziva Girls Under-18: Linda Chipangura, Lorra Mleya, Providence Ndlovu, Bliss Kaunda, Enia Mbanje
Under-18 Boys: Elvin Taruvinga, Irvin Ndlovu, Conlious Zindoga, Takudzwa Timba, Trustmore Vera, Tafadzwa Chigabe
